Habanero & Pineapple Crock-Pot Meatballs

Sweet and spicy crock-pot meatballs glazed in JD's Habanero & Pineapple Hot Sauce — toss them in before kickoff and they're ready by the time everyone shows up.

Ingredients

  • 2 pounds lb frozen meatballs (beef or turkey)

  • 1 cup JD's Habanero & Pineapple Hot Sauce

  • 0.5 cup pineapple juice

  • 0.3 cup ketchup

  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce

  • 1 tablespoons brown sugar

  • Toothpicks, for serving

Steps

1 Add the meatballs: Place 2 pounds lb frozen meatballs (beef or turkey) in the slow cooker.

2 Mix the glaze: In a bowl, whisk together 1 cup JD's Habanero & Pineapple Hot Sauce, 0.5 cup pineapple juice, 0.3 cup ketchup, 2 tablespoons soy sauce, and 1 tablespoon brown sugar. Pour over the meatballs and stir to coat.

3 Slow cook: Cover and cook on low, stirring once or twice, until the meatballs are hot through and glazed.

4 Serve: Switch to warm for serving. Set out toothpicks for serving and let guests help themselves straight from the crock-pot.

Notes

These hold on the crock-pot's warm setting for hours, making them perfect for a tailgate that runs long. Double the recipe for bigger crowds — just use a larger slow cooker.
